Mechanical Skin Abrasion Methods

Another method of skin rejuvenation is mechanical skin abrasion. This traditional technique has been used for many years for exfoliating the skin of the face and body using natural scrubbing tools such as a bath mitt and soap paste. It remains one of the effective ways to rejuvenate the skin.

Today, this method is performed using specialized devices that mimic traditional exfoliation movements. One such device is the microdermabrasion machine, which sprays fine aluminum oxide crystals onto the skin under pressure and then immediately vacuums them up. This process exfoliates the skin, stimulates collagen production, and results in overall skin rejuvenation. It also enhances the absorption of topical medications into the skin.

Botox Injection

Another globally popular skin rejuvenation method is Botox injection. Botox is one of the most common aesthetic procedures worldwide. It works by temporarily paralyzing the facial muscles that create dynamic wrinkles (those caused by muscle movements) through the injection of a specific neurotoxin. The type and quality of the substance used are critically important—low-quality or counterfeit Botox, such as some Chinese brands, can lead to serious side effects like eye misalignment, drooping eyelids, allergic reactions, or even symptoms of botulinum toxin poisoning.

Therefore, Botox injections must be performed by dermatologists, plastic surgeons, or professionals who are thoroughly familiar with facial muscle anatomy. If done by unqualified individuals, it can result in severe and irreversible damage.
