Lipomatic surgery after care

Lipomatic is a minimally invasive method used to eliminate localized excess fat from the body. This article briefly and clearly outlines the post-operative care instructions following Lipomatic surgery.

These aftercare instructions include the following:

Completely avoid consuming alcoholic beverages for 48 hours before and after Lipomatic surgery.

After the procedure, it is essential to drink enough water to compensate for fluid loss in the body.

The patient must get complete rest for the first few hours after surgery.

The patient should not drive for at least one day following the procedure.

To prevent initial skin sagging and looseness, avoid sitting at a 90-degree angle.

Wearing a compression garment for 7 to 10 days after Lipomatic surgery is mandatory.

If the patient feels weak or dizzy, especially in the morning after the fat removal, they should immediately sit or lie down.

Fatigue or fainting during urination may also occur after Lipomatic surgery. In such cases, the patient should slowly stand up, sit, or lie down.

For up to 48 hours, fluid discharge from the treated areas is normal. Therefore, in addition to bandages, highly absorbent pads should be placed under the compression garment over the treated areas.

After 48 hours, the patient is advised to take one or two showers and thoroughly clean the incision points of the Lipomatic procedure.
